I challenge you!

image

So I challenge all my clients, friends and followers to join me in on this.I may be done with the #bodyshred challenege for now, but that doesn’t mean the accountability ends there. Like everyone else, I do.much better when I have goals and something to stick to and be motivated by. I loved @jenwiderstrom on the Biggest Loser, and now she gives us a chance to work with her in a way. She’ll be there the whole 28 days, push and motivate you through it. We can all use a challenge. So who’s with me? Sign up here and let’s do this!

Bodyshred week 7 recap

Two words to describe Zenith and Apex: Holy Shitballs! These two are no joke. They challenged me in ways I didn’t even think possible, but to my biggest surprise, I was able to do about 90% of the work out without having to modify. That’s a testament to the efficacy of the program. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, I gained a great amount of strength and stamina during these past two months. The difference is quite tangible for me and I’m loving it. I have one more week to perfect them. They both, especially Zenith, point out my weaker areas, one being single leg work. I know I neglected my left leg a little after my ankle injury, and now I’m paying for the improper rehabilitation. Once the program is over I will definitely focus on building up more strength, balance and flexibility in both legs. Those single leg rock&roll/pistol squats were a clear example of my lack of unilateral strength.  At least it will give me something to do!

Looking forward to the last week, then tackling Opus. I can only imagine what’s in store for me there!

As for my numbers, still at a steady decline. Inches mostly remained the same, mostly due to that period bloat. It chooses such inconvenient times…oh well. On to the last week!

Bodyshred Week 6 recap

Little behind on the updates, but here it is! Definitely finished week two stronger than I did week one of this instalment, but it always seems to be the case. I love how much more I’m able to do now. The one that jumps out the most really is my core strength. Night and day. Ever since I stopped doing Pilates on a regular basis, i noticed the decline. Now it’s back and I’m loving it.

Bodyfat % still dropping, getting closer to where I want it to be. The weight los is finally getting more steady, as I am making a conscious effort to eat more. I don’t like to be constantly snacking, but for now that’s the only way for me to keep up with my burn. I’m hoping it will drop a little though and I can eliminate some snacks. I wish the definitions would show a little more instead of the pre-period bloat, but this too shall pass. All in all I am happy with the way this challenge is going for myself. Ready for the last two weeks!
